According to the Lithuanian energy ministry’s website, the government plans to provide 4.5 million euros in financial support to residents who install small rooftop pv in 2019.
Residents can apply for one month starting in May, the department said, and homeowners who file will know by mid-july whether they have been approved.
The ceiling of roof installation is 10KW, and the subsidy for each KW is 323 euros, which means the subsidy for installing 5KW roof pv is 1,615 euros, and the subsidy for 10KW is 3,230 euros.
The Lithuanian government plans to provide more than 16 million euros in eu funding for rooftop pv installations by 2023.
The energy minister also said the government wanted to encourage more people to generate their own electricity, with more money likely to be available if applications in 19 years exceed expectations.
